Tim Carmon is an American keyboard player who was born as a preacher’s son in Washington. He began playing the piano in fourth grade while being immersed in the church. At the age of 12, he was the organist for three different churches which included his own Father’s church.

This Career led him to California where he became known for his musical versatility. This versatility made him be placed in different kinds of sessions where he performed for various artists with a variety of genres.

Tim then proceeded to work on tours with his list of musicians and also wrote and p[roduced some of their songs. They include Eric Clapton, Babyface, Stevie Wonder, Queen Latifah, Jamie Foxx and Michael McDonald and many more. Despite him being a well-known Keyboardist he is also a singer, music producer and drummer.

He studied Arts at the Duke Ellington School of Arts. Tim then worked on MTV’s Babyface with Eric Clapton which made him join his touring band for the 1998 Pilgrim Tour. In February 2000 Tim accompanied Clapton and B.B King in the studio for The Riding with the King Sessions. He then became in demand that he even provided arrangements, piano and keyboards for the set of Dreamgirls with R&B producers and The Underdogs.

He then made a come back to Clapton’s band in 2004 where he substituted for Billy Preston. He was on the tour with Clapton in the 2006 & 2007 World Tour. Tim together with Clapton participated for the band in the 14-date Ireland/ UK tour with other appearances in Dublin, Liverpool, and Manchester and an 11- night residency In May 2009 at London’s Royal Albert Hall.
