Parsons’ career began at KSTU-Fox 13 in Salt Lake City, Utah. where she had her internship when her News Director requested her if she can report.

She immediately grabbed the opportunity and began reporting while working as a substitute teacher to cater for her bills. she was officially hired as a reporter, after she completing her internship, which led to her job as weekend anchor, before launching FOX 12 station’s first morning newscast.

In 2000, parsons and her family moved to Portland, when her son was still a toddler. Her daughter was born soon after, and she and her family have enjoyed making the full transition to true Oregonians.

Parsons spent her first 13 years in Portland anchoring the 10 O’clock News with Wayne Garcia, before transitioning from late nights to early evenings, solo anchoring the 5 and 6 o’clock newscasts. She later went back to her morning roots and joined the Good Day Oregon team.

She anchors with Kimberly Maus, Andy Carson, and Tony Martinez each morning from 4:30 to 9 am. Her favourite moments are the candid moments thatlead to laughter with her work family and delivering breaking news and important information to her viewers.

When not on-air, She loves to read and a proud member of a Book Club travels with her family and explores Portland’s restaurants. For some reason, parsons spend a lot of time texting back and forth with Kimberly Maus.
