Scott Gurney is an American executive producer, writer, director, actor, model, and entrepreneur who is known for creating several television series documentaries and reality TV programming. One of them includes the highly rated Duck Dynasty, Auction Hunters, Haunted Collector, Feeding Frenzy, and American Guns.
He is also known for producing several Shark Week specials for Discovery Channel which include Killer Sharks, How Sharks Hunt, Shark City, Shark Attack Survival Guide, and Great White Appetite.

He won the NCAA Divison III Men’s Soccer while in college in 2000 because he was a very competitive athlete. He then began modeling for catalog retailer International Male in San Diego. From there, he went to Los Angeles and modeled for Calvin Klein and Polo Sport.
While in Los Angeles he began to pursue acting by attending many classes whenever he got the time. He was then praised for his performance in 2001 as a porn star in The Fluffer. From there he has appeared on the television shows 7th Heaven, Baywatch, Step By Step, Push and Married… with Children.
He has also appeared in several NBC movies of the week and was the host of the reality television series Hotlines. He started a production company called Gurney Productions Inc. with his wife Deirdre, a former lawyer. They were removed as CEOs of the company in 2017. Gurney had several shows in production and pre-production for Discovery Channel, Spike, and Syfy networks.
