He anchored, reported, produced, and photographed news for KLTV before moving to Ohio, the No. 1 station in Tyler, Texas. He later joined the WRC-TV purchaser unit in Washington, D.C., as an author and scientist.
Layron hit the ground running at Local 10 – went live his first day, interviewed presidential hopefuls, and assisted Local 10 bring him group coverage of the horrific Pulse club shooting in Orlando – all during his initial half-year.
