Towers broadcasting career started at the age of 14 years at WJRZ in Toms Rivers, New Jersey. At the age of 18, he landed a full-time radio show in Atlantic City at WAYV and then at Boss 97. He left Jersey shortly after he turned 20 years old, in addition, he became one of the youngest Program Directors in America at WMAX in Grand Rapids. Furthermore, he assisted in the launching of 93.1 WDRQ in Detroit.
He was called back at Q102 in Philadelphia to the east coast to serve as Music Director and afternoon host in 1997, whereby he returned to 93.1 DRQ in 1999 to host “J Towers and the Morning Revolution” until 2005 due to attachment he had for the city of Detroit.
