Before moving to San Diego, he spent five years as an anchor at WPLG in Miami, covering some of the wildest “only in Florida” stories of his career, where he covered a violent face-eating incident, Presidential elections in the swing state, fake plastic surgeons, US-Cuba relations, and two Miami Heat NBA championships.
In addition, his experience from reporting in the field took him through floods, crime scenes, presidential elections, plane crashes, tornadoes, and hurricanes. Moreover, he also worked in Los Angeles, where he earned his fourth Emmy Award for team coverage of Michael Jackson’s shocking death.
